In recent months there's been a habit of The UK Met Office announcing various approaching storms and extreme weather events, by giving them a name. i.e. Storm Abigail, Storm Barney, Storm Desmond, Storm Eva and currently Storm Gertrude.
In the week ahead, it has been forecast that there is a storm on the way that is due to strike over Kensington/Chelsea, in West London and then head out toward Richmond and finally Windsor.
The Met Office has just named it as
"Storm Rupert Farquhar Smyth Montague III"
